Angamardhana – workshops #2 and #3

Posting this with a delay … some issues with the laptop 😦

Ok … i did it … i survived in total 9 hours of Angamardhana course. That was spread over 3 workshops – each of 3 hours. Saturday – 1 workshop and Sunday – 2 workshops.

And it was a blast! I highly recommend it to anyone. It is so different that other types of Yoga taught in some centres where you can just come in and join a session. Here your day consists of watching pre-recorded tutorials, then you do only few poses at a time. You are training your muscle memory to remember all the details of each pose. How to hold your feet, hands … and also why ….

I must admit … my body got a shock therapy. After many years of doing nothing i was not expecting anything else other than …”it will not be nice!”. And that is OK! I know i became too lazy … finding excuses not to do things that i should have done. Now … i am commited to keep going!

I will use this blog to post some updates as i grow further into my practise.

Angamardhana – workshop #1

As part of my Isha journey – i not only want to explore better my inner self but also want to have a vibrant body as both body and mind work together.

If you have not heard anything about Angamardhana – please follow this short video from Sadhguru:

You might be tempted to find a script somewhere on the internet so that you can jump into it right away. Well… having just done #1 workshop, i can confirm it is not the best idea. Nothing, not even the best video can replace a live session with a teacher.

Today was ca. 3h session with lots of repetitions, looking at tiny details like feet and hand alignments.

My body was pushed to the limit, i was not able to enter some of the poses – but that is OK. I had years of pretty much sedentary life so it is not surprising it will take time to get my body back in shape.

Tomorrow two mork workshops 🙂
